The Snow Has Come And Gone…

We had snow in at our house and it was awesome!! The other two members of the group came down and so did their Mom. But alas the snow is gone, at least most of it, and I’m happy to get some spring weather soon. By the way, HAAPPYY BIRTHDAAAAY GRANT!!! I’m gonna add some new photos of the snow so check the photo page!

What can I say to make You love me more? What can I do to make me more beautiful to You?

I’ll give You all I’ve got and then drop to the floor

‘Cause givin’ everything reminds me that I never had that much to give anyway.

If You love me more than I can imagine, why can’t I believe it?

Shouldn’t Your love so overload my five senses that I can’t feel anything else

Thus knowing that You love me

Rendering me unable to doubt it?

Your grace is deep, Your love is wide.

You wanna take me for a ride so I can see what You’ve done for me, but in my pride I say “No thanks, I’m busy.”

Oh, God, what have I done? I’ve turned away the Creator in favor of some short lived thrill.

Movies, music, video games all take me another step away from the One who delights in me despite my foolhardy notions of “happiness”.

What can I say to make You love me more? What can I do to become more beautiful to You?

You’ve said and done it all, and Your words and actions are far above my feeble attempts to earn what You’ve given me freely.

Why can’t I just accept Your love? It seems too good to be true, yet You are Truth.

God, free me form the trappings of my mind that try in vain to put You on a leash. My mind forgets Your goodness for it is mortal,

But my soul will never forget what You’ve done for me.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

WOW!!! CHRISTMAS!!!!!! But yet it doesn’t feel like it….. oh well!!! I got loads of cool stuff like a bamboo bo staff and wood burned bamboo nunchuku. Yeah, I guess it is feeling Christmasy somewhat, but its hard when it’s cool and humid instead of frosty tempertures and snow. Well I gotta go see what text my phone got so C U L8R!!!!!

Hi yo peas waz up homey!!! Hey have you looked at your calenders lately? TEN DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS!!! The only problem about that is the fact that I don’t feel Christmasy yet…. do you guys feel Christamsy? Well i guess one thing that makes it less Christmasy is that its humid and on some days 70 degrees outside…doesn’t look like snow, but last time we got snow was in march, march 10, I think. Ok you are most likely getting tired of listening to me ramble on about Christmas and winter with no real point except the fact that the best seasonal celebration of all time beside Char’s birthday (inside joke), so I’ll talk to you guys later!!!! BYE!!!

My View From The Corner

I wrote this last night while laying in bed thinking…this is going to sound cheesy but as I wrote it, I heard it as a rap song…Feel free to comment on my apparent lack of rapping skills, but please don’t be a hater!

Here I am trying to hear Your voice, but all I hear is a jumbled mess. I look up and see You across the room, while I’m over in this dark corner wondering why You left me again, when in reality I was the one who left You.

Sometimes my love for You is a raging fire that can’t be contained; but most of the time there’s hardly a flicker so that I can entertain this illusion of control.

Why do I think so highly of myself when I can’t even stay faithful to the One who died for me? This foolishness must stop. He chose to die for me, now I must choose what I will do with this life He has given me: waste it in mediocrity or waste it in pursuit of the living God.

Lord, help me to choose You.

While I was checking our little blog today, i had a revelation. This blog is devoid of any recent, thought provoking, interesting posts. Except for the youtube video, food wars, which is only meaningful if you have something against non organic produce. I just hope that this case of writer’s block will not be the cause of our our blog’s slow and painful death…..

And no, I’m not melodramatic. Where’d you get that idea?
